How It Works
Hydrogen-Peroxide-Based Sanitization Power
Although the exact chemical makeup of D7 is complex, at its core,
the ingredients could be broken down as follows:
D7 chemically cleaves the spore wall then neutralizes the mycotoxin inside. For toxic chemicals, the surfactant ingredients (i.e. soap) help dissolve the chemical into the D7 formulation where it is attacked and neutralized by the hydrogen peroxide. For biological materials (e.g. bacteria, viruses, and fungi) the surfactants soften the cell walls of the microorganisms which allows the hydrogen peroxide to penetrate to the interior for complete kill. It also changes the osmotic pressure around the cell, which causes an imbalance in the internal cellular pressure resulting in the total collapse of the cellular membrane.
